On 1 and 2nd of July CRE St. Petersburg & Federal Summit 2010 took place. The summit was attended by more than 350 representatives of federal and regional state authorities, investors, land and property owners, development, construction, consulting and management companies from Russia, CIS and Europe. The Summit participants exchanged their views on general picture and trends on the Russian real estate market, investments, processes and problems of changing the assets’ profiles.


The summit included 21 subject discussions which covered all the urgent questions of strategy, operational management and marketing in development, investments and commercial real estate operation in Moscow and Russian regions. Each group was conducted by 3-4 moderators, experts in the field.
Vladimir Ivanov, Managing Partner of Spectrum Group, moderated the discussion on Which Project Are Wanted by the Funds Today. The participants discussed resumption of investments into Russian projects, main criteria of projects selection, priority segments and regions, as well as methods of application of green standards. Vsevolod Yakovlev, Regional Director of Spectrum Group, was a panelist in the discussion on construction legislation simplification. The group discussed conformity of Russian SNiPs to requirements of modern construction technologies.


The Summit took place in a cozy, warm atmosphere and provided possibilities for business contacts and open cooperation in the sphere of development.
The Summit was rounded with awarding ceremony of annual CRE St. Petersburg & Federal Awards 2010. Over 300 participants have gathered in a large lobby of Corinthia Nevskij Palace Hotel to hear the names of 17 nominations winners.
Mr. Ivanov has been appointed a jury member of Federal Awards Retail Committee and Mr. Yakovlev participated in assessment of industrial and warehouse projects.
The branch experts have chosen the nominees and presented 103 projects to the Organising Committee. The winners were traditionally chosen by closed personal ballot of the jury members after the projects were presented to them by the real estate types.


The prize – Golden Bricks and winners diplomas were handed to the following participants:

Industrial Real Estate: St. Petersburg – Kulon Pulkovo Office and Warehouse Complex, Russian Regions – PNK-Tolmachevo Logistic Complex.
Retail Real Estate: Small size retail centre - Optimus, Ulyanovsk, Average size retail centre - RIO, Belgorod, Large size retail centre - Greenwich (3-rd phase), Yekaterinburg.
Office Real Estate: B-class business centre - Pulkovo Sky, St. Petersburg, BC 2.18, Naberezhniye Chelny; A-class business centre – Linkor, St. Petersburg, International Commerce Center, Nizhnii Novgorod.
Consultant of the year: St. Petersburg - Colliers International.
Developer of the year: St. Petersburg – ЕКЕ, Russian Regions - Tashir.
Person of the year: St. Petersburg – Oleg Barkov, Director General of Night Frank St. Petersburg.
In the context of the Awards the Architect and Engineering Company of the year were chosen.


All the participants stated that healthy spirit of competition at the Awards was another evidence of real estate market activity.
